COVID-19 and Holt & Co.
Updated: Mar 18
How we are dealing with the COVID-19 situation.
Our #1 priority is the safety and health of our clients, staff, and families. We want to ensure we are all taking the proper and recommended precautions to stay safe during this time. Holt & Co. will remain open at this time. We will update you if this changes. To reduce our exposure and provide a healthy environment for our staff, their families and our clients we have established the following policies:
We are not taking walk-ins or physical meetings with our clients until the pandemic is over.
We have a drop mail slot in our front door and we encourage you to use it to drop off important documents or communications. Once returns are completed, they can be either be securely emailed to you for your review or sent in the mail.
Tax returns must be reviewed by the taxpayer and we must receive a signed T183 – Consent to File, prior to transmitting to CRA.
For our senior clients and those clients with mobility issues, special arrangements can be made and we would like you to call our office so that we can make arrangements with you.
Please have your paperwork to us a soon as possible – if slips are missing (such as T3s) we can access those slips online and encourage you to send us as much as you can as soon as possible so we can get started.

We will do our best during this time to keep you updated. To our clients with corporate yearends and seniors, I will be personally reaching out to you over the next week to make arrangements with you. We will do our best to remotely help you from our office to your home or office, without the need to visit our office. If you are suffering financial hardships or other circumstances and need help to discuss waiver of penalties and interest or to discuss payment arrangements with CRA, we can help you with that.
